Definitions and Usage[edit | edit source]
Aporagender describes a gender that is not male, female, or in between. It is a strongly gendered feeling (not agender), but can be considered neutral by some. Aporagender can be used as an umbrella term (for example, for many xenogenders would be considered as an aporagender) or a specific identity.
Related Terms[edit | edit source]
Although aporagender falls under the large nonbinary umbrella, they are not synonyms; ilyagender is also often confused for it. Maverique and some xenogenders would be considered under the aporagender umbrella. Abinary and aporagender have much in common, with one main distinction: abinary includes agender and related terms, while aporagender does not. Atrinary is also similar to aporagender.
Flags[edit | edit source]
Reworked aporagender flag by Mod Lune.
The original flag uses the blue, pink, and purple combination on the edges, and yellow in the center, to represent aporagender's separation from the binary. The second flag uses more non-gendered colors to convey the separation from the gender binary, like the yellow and green. The teal communicates that aporagender may occasionally seem close to masculinity or masculinity. The diagonal placement of the black stripe represent aporagender's existence off the gender spectrum itself.
